We are a 100% foster-based organization. There is no facility or shelter. We can only save the life of a senior dog if we have an available foster home. Over 900 senior dogs have been saved because people gave love and fostered. More people fostering, means more old dogs' lives can be saved and transformed.
As the Pittsburgh, PA region's leader in rescuing senior dogs our detailed knowledge and experience with old dogs is a critical component to the success of our foster program. Our proven processes, which strictly focus on renewing old dogs, makes your life easier as a foster person.

Foster Criteria
- Reside in the greater Pittsburgh, PA area
- All pets in the home must be up to date on vaccinations and current on preventatives.
- All pets in the home must be altered.
- Be able to communicate via text and email.
- Willing to follow our vets' and our protocols.
- Be able to physically care for a dog, including bending over to place bowls down, and taking her on walks.
- Be able to transport a dog to a partner vet.
- No young children or granchildren in the home.
- Must agree to a virtual home check.
